The British Council in Greece is looking for an Customer Services Sales Consultant - part-time, to support the placement and enrolment of adult and young learner students into our English language programmes. In this role, you will carry out interviews and counselling sessions as part of the placement testing process, helping prospective students identify the most suitable course based on their current level of English and learning goals. These consultations may take place face-to-face, over the phone, or via Zoom.
You will act as the main point of contact for prospective customers, guiding them from their initial enquiry through to final registration using our CRM system (Salesforce). Meeting sales targets and key performance indicators is a core part of the role, as is following up with potential students who have not yet booked or completed their consultation, or who have not registered after their placement test, to re-establish their needs and offer tailored solutions.
As the welcoming face of the British Council, you will greet students and parents at our centre and deliver a high standard of post-sales customer service. You will also support customer retention by ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout the student journey. In addition, you will be expected to identify and escalate any issues that may affect teaching delivery or customer satisfaction, such as complaints or logistical challenges.
This role requires strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to plan and prioritise your work in a dynamic environment. You will also be expected to take on other duties in support of the team’s operations as assigned by your line manager.

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum / Essential
• Previous experience of working in a sales and customer service environment
• Excellent written, listening and spoken English (C2 – Common European Framework) and Greek
• Student or Bachelor’s/ first degree
Desirable
• Knowledge of English language teaching and examinations in Greece or has working experience as a teacher of English language
• Customer Service or Sales certifications
Important information:
Location: Athens, Greece
Pay Grade: 2/J
Contract: Fixed-term – 1 Year with option for extension.
Requirement: Candidates must have the legal rights to work in Greece at the time of application and in future.
Other important features or requirements of the job:
18.75 hours per week – part-time including 15 minutes break.
The successful candidate will work 15:30-19:15 on 4 weekdays and 08:30-12:45 on Saturdays in our main centre at Kolonaki covering the opening hours of our Teaching Centre.
Based on the operational requirements, the shifts may alternate
