Role


Play a key role in delivering impactful Non-Formal Education programmes in Lebanon, including Youth Connect, that create meaningful opportunities for young people and communities. Drive seamless programme delivery through strong partner collaboration, effective project coordination, and robust financial and operational management, ensuring quality, compliance, and lasting impact.

 

Role Accountabilities

 

Managing Self and Others

 

  • Holding vendors and suppliers accountable for delivering services while maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Working independently, managing priorities and workload to meet project deadlines.

 

Financial Support

 

  • Planning, monitoring and reporting project budgets, expenditure and forecasts, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting effective budget management.
  • Ensuring timely vendor payments and full compliance with British Council financial policies, procedures and audit requirements.

 

Project Management

 

  • Managing data, reporting, compliance, grants administration, procurement, and monitoring activities to support successful programme delivery and funder requirements.
  • Coordinating events, training and programme activities while contributing to diversity mainstreaming across NFE and Cultural Engagement programmes.

 

Relationship and Stakeholder Management

 

  • Building and managing effective relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders to support programme objectives.
  • Managing vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring accountability for quality service delivery.

 

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)

 

  • Fostering an inclusive and anti-racist culture by promoting equity, wellbeing and awareness of personal bias in all aspects of work.
  • Embedding EDI principles across NFE projects and programmes, advancing gender equality, disability inclusion and social inclusion while actively supporting ongoing learning and development.

 

Qualifications

 

Education

 

  • Degree or proven experience in one of British Council’s portfolio areas (Arts, Education, English)


Role specific skills

 

  • Demonstrated experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or projects.
  • Administrative and financial administration experience.
  • Good understanding of basic concepts of monitoring and evaluation, and how they are central to good project management
