Role Purpose
This role is responsible for the efficient and compliant delivery of exams in a small or remote office, including handling confidential materials and managing venue supervisors and test delivery. It involves coordinating risk and issue resolution, maintaining effective communication with customers and venues, and serving as the main point of contact on test days, which may include weekend work as part of the regular schedule.
Role Accountabilities
This role supports the end-to-end planning, delivery, and post-event analysis of British Council exams, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and high-quality customer service. Responsibilities include managing test day logistics, handling confidential materials, supporting venue and staff coordination, and responding to operational risks or incidents. The role ensures venues and staff meet British Council standards, oversees the secure handling and transport of exam materials, and maintains accurate documentation and reporting. It involves engaging with stakeholders, addressing customer queries, escalating complex issues, and supporting compliance and audit processes. Additionally, it requires effective resource management, leadership in daily operations, and adaptation to changing priorities, often within tight timeframes.
Role specific skills, knowledge and experience
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy operational environment, consistently delivering high levels of customer service, with a proven ability to monitor and maintain compliance, risk, and security standards. While not essential, it is desirable for candidates to have experience in exam operations and supporting the delivery of computer-based exams.
Further Information
Language: Strong English proficiency is crucial for this role, requiring fluency in both written and spoken communication to effectively navigate British Council systems and international operations.
Education: Having a bachelor’s degree is required for this role, while a master’s degree is considered an advantage.
Locally recruited: Applications are welcomed from candidates currently in this location with a natural right to work. Relocation support is not provided.
