Role Purpose & Accountabilities:
The British Council is seeking an Exams Operations Officer to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of exams in Indonesia, adhering to security and exam body standards while maintaining high levels of customer service. This role involves handling confidential materials during multiple exchanges in compliance with set standards and managing relationships and performance of Venue Supervisors. You will coordinate risk and issue resolution and act as the primary contact for venues and testing partners on test days, which will require weekend work.
In this pivotal position, you will contribute significantly to our exam operations at test centres by adapting to new systems and processes and ensuring adherence to best practices. You will need to act swiftly in unforeseen circumstances to uphold the integrity of Test Day execution and implement improvements in the logistics of handling confidential materials.
Your responsibilities will include preparing for Test Days by planning logistics in line with British Council processes, monitoring performance through dashboards, deploying engagement plans for venue staff, and managing the handling of exam materials. You will also address customer inquiries and recognize potential issues, escalating them when necessary. Establishing solid relationships with venue staff and other stakeholders will be crucial to facilitate efficient service delivery.
To succeed in this role, you will need to engage in contingency and risk management, ensuring compliance with corporate policies including child protection and security measures. Monitoring compliance standards and supporting audits are also vital aspects of this position. You will analyze operational activities and report on performance to enhance decision-making processes.
You will demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. You will work independently and coordinate with internal and external teams to deliver services efficiently while maintaining adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
• Experience working in a busy operational environment delivering high levels of customer service.
• Ability to ensure compliance, risk and security standards are monitored and maintained.
• Excellent administrative skills
• Proficiency in using Microsoft applications/ basic computer skills
• Accuracy and attention to details -100% accuracy is required in data input, operating registration system and providing information to customers
• Experience working in a busy operational environment delivering high levels of customer service. English Language Proficiency – CEFR Level C Aptis Test Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree
Desirable:
• Experience working in Exams
• Experience of supporting on delivery of computer based exams
• Track record of working in a tightly controlled process driven environment
