The Role

 

To support regional marketing teams with the in-platform build and delivery of marketing campaigns and programmes using HubSpot. This includes adapting global customer journeys for English and Exams and Cultural Engagement, designing new journey entry points, and delivering content localisation, translation, and localised channel strategies where required.

Accountabilities

 

The role will support the Marketing Manager and regional leadership in delivering campaign content strategies across the English and Exams and Cultural Engagement portfolios. This includes reviewing campaign and programme briefs and building, adapting, and executing campaigns within HubSpot Marketing Hub, covering content translation and localisation, template and journey adaptation, and contact and list management. Working closely with regional performance leads, the role will ensure all activity is correctly tagged and support the adaptation of global reporting dashboards to reflect regional performance metrics and insights.

In addition, the role will work with the global data lead to maintain the integrity, governance, and effectiveness of the HubSpot platform, including taxonomy, user profiles, consent management, journeys, and dashboards. As the marketing automation subject-matter expert, the postholder will share best practice, support capability building within teams, and contribute to marketing operational excellence by collaborating with hub, regional enablement, and global teams, providing regular updates on platform usage and governance.

  • Able to effectively manage multiple project deliverable to a successful resolution on time and to brief.

Role specific knowledge and experience

 

Minimum/essential

  • Experience designing and building templates (email etc), landing pages, journeys, managing lists, and general platform governance within HubSpot Marketing Hub
  • Proven experience working in a content/digital marketing role within a large and complex organisation 
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing 
  • Experience with Marketing platform governance

 

Desirable

  • HubSpot Marketing Hub Certification(s)
  • Experience in CRM tool like Salesforce
  • Experience of marketing techniques, data and lead generation marketing
  • Experience in visualisation tools viz. Tableau, PowerBi
  • Experience within a global organisation
  • HTML, SQL, and CSS
  • Experience with dynamic personalisation
  • AL driven content, messaging, segmentation, and targeting

 

Education

 

Essential:

Degree or professional qualification in marketing, communications or business or demonstrable level of equivalent experience

Desirable:

Postgraduate degree in a relevant field, e.g. marketing and communications and business studies or demonstrable level of equivalent experience

 

Professional Qualification and Certification

Desirable - HubSpot Marketing Hub Certification(s)

 

Language Requirement

The British Council’s systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required for this role.

Salary: The starting salary for this role is INR 613,645 per annum. For the right candidate with the appropriate skills and experience, salary may be flexible. In addition to salary, a range of benefits will be offered.

 

The British Council supports flexible and hybrid working, subject to line manager approval and the ability to deliver the required level of service. This can be discussed at interview.

 

Requirements

Candidates must have the pre-existing legal right to work in India at the time of application. Visa sponsorship, relocation, or mobility support will not normally be provided for this role.
