Role Purpose-
 
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Teaching Operations Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential coordination and logistical support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our teaching operations.
 
Main duties-

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the smooth delivery of our teaching and customer services. You will handle student registration, customer care, and re-registration back office processes, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and maintaining accurate records. Your role will also involve basic data analysis and logistical support to enhance operational efficiency.

 

You will receive and respond to enquiries from/to customers, and may be a specific point of reference for queries. Identify where more complex issues require resolution by others and refer them on accordingly. You will need to understand the impact of incidents arising (e.g. complaints, resourcing problems, logistical or technical difficulties) and proactively alert the relevant team to any issues of concern that are likely to impact teaching delivery/customer experience. 

 

You will ensure compliance with corporate requirements (e.g. child protection, security policies, financial protocols, anti-fraud measures) to protect the interests of the British Council and its customers at all times. 

 

Qualification & Work Experience-  

 

Essentials

 

  • School leaving certificate or equivalent
  • Suitable for candidates at the beginning of their careers who are eager to learn and grow professionally
  • Proven experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Advanced Computer skills; Use of Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Language Requirement: C1 level proficiency in both Czech and English.

 

Desirables

 

  • Basic knowledge of SAP and working with databases

 

Important Information-

 

  • Monthly Salary: Starting from- 28,300 CZK 
  • Annual Leave: 5 weeks in a calendar year
  • Public Holidays: Up to 14 days annually (CZ and UK)
  • Work Location: Office-based in Prague Centre (our office is fully accessible and disabled-friendly)
  • Contract Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week
  • Contract Duration: 1-year fixed term, with possibility of renewal
  • Work Eligibility: Applicants must have the pre-existing right to work and live in the Czech Republic (visa sponsorship not available)
