We are seeking a Teaching Operations Coordinator to support the effective day‑to‑day delivery of teaching operations at a single country or location. Reporting to the Teaching Operations Manager, this role ensures operational readiness, supports safeguarding compliance, and acts as a key link between teaching staff and operational teams. The Coordinator plays an essential part in the smooth running of classes by managing administrative processes, supporting issue resolution, and maintaining accurate and timely communication and documentation across all stakeholders.
The role involves delivering a range of administrative and customer services in line with corporate procedures to ensure quality, efficiency and continuity. Responsibilities include managing student registration and re‑registration, maintaining accurate financial and customer records, preparing routine and non-standard documentation, supporting basic data analysis, and providing logistical assistance for both internal and external activities. The Coordinator responds to customer enquiries, escalates complex issues where necessary, and proactively communicates with colleagues to ensure coordinated delivery of events and services while recognising and addressing incidents that may affect teaching delivery or the customer experience.
A strong focus on risk and compliance is essential, including adherence to child protection, security, financial and anti‑fraud procedures, alongside responsible handling of customer and financial data. The role requires oversight of small-scale resources to ensure equipment and materials are available when needed. The Coordinator is expected to plan and prioritise their workload effectively, respond to changing operational requirements, and coordinate tasks with colleagues and external suppliers to ensure timely, high‑quality service delivery.
To succeed in this role, candidates should bring experience in a customer‑focused environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to support operational processes and improvements. Proficiency in English at B2 level is required, as the British Council’s systems and global processes operate in English.
