Role Purpose
The Exams Operations Coordinator ensures that all exam day activities and post-exam processes are carried out efficiently, securely, and in line with British Council standards. Acting as the key point of contact for venue staff and supervisors, the role involves managing logistics, coordinating the secure handling of confidential materials, and supporting examiner and venue staff performance. The post-holder will also be responsible for ensuring that all exam materials are prepared, distributed, and returned correctly, and that customer communications and complaints are handled promptly and professionally. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity of our exams and delivering a high-quality experience for candidates.
This fixed-term role, covering maternity leave until 1 April 2026, is critical to the successful delivery of British Council exams in Uzbekistan.

The Exams Operations Coordinator is a key operational role within this framework, requiring close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and venue staff. The role also involves compliance with strict standards around child protection, data security, and health and safety. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes early morning, evening, and weekend work as part of a test day duty rota.
Main Accountabilities (not limited to)
The post-holder will coordinate all aspects of test day delivery, including venue setup, staff coordination, and secure handling of exam materials. They will oversee secure materials handling, ensuring compliance with security protocols and accurate tracking of materials. The role includes overseeing logistics such as the distribution of stationery, IT equipment, and signage, and ensuring that all resources are in place for a smooth test day. Post-exam responsibilities include scanning and submitting scripts, processing results, and managing certificate distribution. The Coordinator will also handle customer queries and complaints, escalate issues as needed, and support continuous improvement initiatives. They will maintain accurate records, support audits, and contribute to reporting and analysis. In addition, the role involves supporting examiner and venue staff engagement, ensuring performance standards are met, and promoting a culture of compliance and service excellence.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in operations, logistics, ideally in an educational or customer service environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in handling confidential materials and compliance processes. Experience in identifying and minimising risk
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse data and produce reports to support operational decision-making.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings as required by the exam schedule.
- Ability to understand and adhere to compliance regulated procedures
Desirable:
- Experience in operations, administration, hospitality.
