Role purpose:
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the effective, secure, and compliant delivery of exams and related operational activities across a country or location. The role ensures that all test-day and post-test operations — including venue coordination, equipment readiness, materials handling, and test-day staff management — meet global quality, security, and compliance standards.
The postholder also oversees the selection, contracting, and coordination of internal and external venues and equipment, ensuring that all delivery resources are available, cost-effective, and compliant with British Council and awarding body standards.
Role Accountabilities:
The Delivery Network Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational delivery of examinations, ensuring all test-day and post-test activities are executed in accordance with global standard operating procedures, security requirements, and regulatory standards. The role includes managing venue sourcing and contracting, coordinating third-party delivery partners, overseeing test-day equipment and materials, and ensuring the secure handling, tracking, and transportation of confidential exam materials. The coordinator also leads operational readiness activities, venue audits, risk assessments, and serves as the primary operational contact for venues, delivery partners, and test-day staff.
A key aspect of the role is maintaining compliance, security, and operational integrity across the delivery network. This includes conducting compliance audits, supporting incident investigations, maintaining audit documentation, and working closely with governance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements. The role also involves managing operational issues, escalating risks when necessary, and implementing corrective actions to maintain service quality.
The position requires strong stakeholder and resource management skills, including coordinating communications with candidates, venue owners, suppliers, and internal teams. The coordinator oversees vendor contracts, purchase orders, payments, and cost tracking while ensuring efficient use of venues, materials, and staffing resources. In addition, the role may involve leading Delivery Network Assistants, venue staff, and temporary test-day teams, supporting their training and development, and fostering a culture of accountability, security, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service delivery.
